Dr. Anna Baranowsky is the Founder and President of the Trauma Practice for Healthy Communities.
Due to a severe lack of trauma service provision, and growing income inequalities, Dr. Baranowsky recognized that long wait times and lack of skilled care in the public system meant limited access for many individuals seeking trauma services. As a result, Trauma Practice for Healthy Communities was born to build a new way of healing communities through accessible, expert-facilitated, and trauma-informed mental health care.
Dr. Baranowsky is a Clinical Psychologist and the current CEO of the Traumatology Institute. She has over eighteen years of experience working with trauma survivors and training professional care providers in this field nationally and internationally.
Karen has been working in the wellness industry for over twenty years serving in the fields of nutrition, yoga and, more recently, psychotherapy. She has dedicated many years to trauma-informed training and brings that awareness into the communities she serves.
As a yoga instructor, Karen has brought mindfulness-based programs to youth through the New Leaf Foundation and works privately and publicly to help people develop an awareness and connection to their bodies and experiences.
Carla is dedicated to working with people in many capacities to revolutionize how we care for our minds, bodies and ourselves.
Building on her extensive training in yoga, meditation and mindfulness-based cognitive therapy, Carla creates bespoke programming that is truly accessible and resonates with the specific needs of her clientele.
